The City of St. Augustine is opening applications for the Residential Composting Program beginning Monday, July 14, until quantity limits are met. Through the City’s Residential Composting Program, residents in single family homes within City limits are invited to apply for a backyard compost bin free of charge.
Residents are encouraged to contribute food and yard waste to their compost bins to create nutrient-rich compost that can be used in their own garden. Collection service is not offered as part of this program.
Complete information about the program, including eligibility criteria and the application form, is available on the City’s website www.citystaug.com/compost;
