Light-Up! Night activities to kick off 31st Annual Nights of Lights

Entertainment, free park and ride shuttle returns

The lighting ceremony of the city’s holiday tree and canopy of live oak trees around the Plaza de la Constitución begins promptly at 6:30pm on Saturday, November 23, kicking off the 31st Annual Nights of Lights.  The Nights of Lights will continue through Sunday, January 26, 2025.

 

The schedule of events for Saturday, November 23, 2024, includes: 

 

Light-Up! Night Entertainment

              4:00pm             Showtime USA, Parque de Menendez, St. Augustine City Hall, 75 King St.

              5:30pm             All Star Orchestra, Gazebo, Plaza de la Constitución

              6:30pm             Lighting Ceremony, Gazebo, Plaza de la Constitución

 

Lighting Honorees

  • St. Augustine Sister Cities Association in recognition of 100 Years of Friendship with Avilés, Spain
    1. Consuelo Lippi, President
    2. Len Weeks, 100th Anniversary Celebration Committee Chair

 

Free Park & Ride Shuttle – north of downtown

TIMES:  1:00pm - 11:00pm

WHERE TO PARK:  

St. Johns County Health Department, 200 San Sebastian View

              San Marco Lot, 301 San Marco Ave.

DROP-OFF/PICK-UP:  Visitor Information Center, 10 S. Castillo Dr.

 

Free Park & Ride Shuttle – west of downtown

TIMES:  1:00pm - 11:00pm

WHERE TO PARK: Broudy’s Lot (corner of US 1 and W. King), 198 W. King St. 

DROP-OFF/PICK-UP:  Visitor Information Center, 10 S. Castillo Dr.

 

From Anastasia Island

TIMES:  4:00pm - 11:00pm

WHERE TO PARK:  

   Anastasia Baptist Church, 1650 A1A South

              R.B. Hunt Elementary, 125 Magnolia Dr.

DROP-OFF/PICK-UP:  Bridge of Lions (east end)

 

Road closures/restricted parking

              Cathedral Place:  between Cordova St. and Avenida Menendez

              Parking is prohibited all day; Cathedral Place closed to vehicles 5:00pm – 8:00pm

              King Street:  between Cordova St. and Avenida Menendez

              Parking is prohibited all day on the north side of King Street; street closed as determined by police to ensure pedestrian safety
