Guest speaker opportunity: The City of St. Augustine is in the process of updating the current architectural design guidelines for historic preservation. The design guidelines are used to evaluate changes to historic buildings and new construction in historic districts, and demolitions throughout St. Augustine.
This workshop will present survey results and have a deeper dialogue about the community's preferences for maintaining the city's historic character. The non-profit National Alliance of Preservation Commissions will be leading this workshop on behalf of the City of St. Augustine Historic Preservation Division. Public surveys will also be distributed separately.
City staff will be available to answer questions about the currently proposed partial demolition and design review ordinance after the facilitators have completed their presentations.
