Evacuation OrdersIncludes entire City of St. AugustineDue to intensified conditions of Hurricane Ian, St. Johns County has issued evacuation orders effective at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28, for Zones A and B, which includes the entire City of St. Augustine, the City of St. Augustine Beach, and those living on waterfront property or flood-prone areas. In addition, the County is also evacuating part of Zone F for residents south of County Road 214. For evacuation information, including route maps and evacuation zones, please visit St. Johns County's website.
St. Johns County will also open three shelters starting at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 28. The County is prepared to open additional shelters as needed. The following shelters will be open to the public:

City Offices ClosedStarting Wednesday, September 28
Starting on Wednesday, September 28, through Friday, September 30, the City of St. Augustine government offices will be closed.
St. Augustine Municipal Marina operations will close Wednesday, September 28 at noon until conditions improve.

Solid Waste Collections suspended Thursday, September 29 and Friday, September 30
Due to storm preparations and recovery efforts, Solid Waste will suspend all residential and commercial recycling collections on Thursday, September 29 and Friday, September 30.
Residential yard waste routes as well as commercial garbage routes will be running as normal on Wednesday, September 28. Service will resume as soon as possible, but in the meantime, customers should secure containers and materials. Residents should not place loose trash, construction debris, recycling materials and carts curbside due to potential damages, loss of property, and obstruction of roadways and storm drains.
Starting Wednesday, September 28, staff will be pulling commercial trash and recycling dumpsters (including drop off locations) that are in flood prone areas and locations without enclosures.

Parking Garage at Capacity Limited Space available at 301 San Marco
Capacity has been reached at the Historic Downtown Parking Facility. The garage is unable to accept more vehicles at this time.
Please note, the City-owned lot at 301 San Marco still has limited availability.
Downtown, city-operated pay stations will no longer charge for parking for the duration of the storm.

City Sandbag operations have concludedCity Manager thanks residents for taking preparedness measures Sandbag operations at Francis Field have concluded! For information about additional sandbag resources provided by St. Johns County Emergency Management, visit sjcfl.us/hurricane or call the Emergency Management Citizen Information Line at 904.824.5550.
The City distributed 20 trucks of sand, which is equivalent to approximately 25,000 sandbags. City Manager John Regan would like to thank the residents who are taking preparedness measures, as well as City staff, the Police Department's SRT team, and Fire Department for making this operation possible.
