Face of the CityCrystal Hill, Galimore Center CoordinatorFor this week’s Face of the City – we want you to meet the City’s first ‘official’ Galimore Center Coordinator, Crystal Hill! Crystal started with the City in 2018 as a Custodian, was later promoted to a Parking Enforcement Officer, and has served in her current capacity for six months. As the Galimore Center Coordinator, Crystal is responsible for opening / locking the building for events, upkeep and cleaning, and making some building improvements. In her time in the position, Crystal has overseen an exterior repainting project, air conditioning system improvements, and installation of wi-fi. “I love the sense of community that comes with this position, which is something that I value as a St. Augustine native” said Crystal. “I get to meet so many people, learn about their history with the building and the area, and get to be part of whatever event they are hosting. The Galimore Center is overall, a very happy place to work, which makes this position so rewarding.” A fun fact about Crystal is her career with the City is truly a ‘family affair.” Her mom, Lena, and sister, Michele, are employed in the Mobility Division! Outside of work, Crystal loves spending time with her husband Dane, son Garrett, and dog Ruby. They enjoy taking road trips with their nieces and nephews to parks and springs.
