Phase One of 2023 Citizen Survey Set to Launch on Wednesday, July 12
The City of St. Augustine has contracted with a vendor, Polco, to conduct a citizen survey using the National Community Survey as the survey instrument to measure community livability, assess residents’ needs, evaluate the impacts of governmental programs, and gauge resident sentiment and satisfaction with key service areas and programs.
Commencing on Wednesday, July 12, randomly selected households within the city limits of St. Augustine will begin receiving postcard invitations by mail. These invitations will include an online access code, providing residents with the opportunity to participate in the survey conveniently from their own homes.
As part of the survey process, a second mailing will be sent to the same participants, offering a paper version of the survey for those who prefer to complete it by hand.
In the third phase of the survey, open access to the online survey will be granted to anyone who wishes to contribute. Interested individuals are encouraged to subscribe to the City's weekly e-newsletter, News and Notes, available at www.CityStAug.com/NotifyMe, to stay informed about the announcement of the launch of phase three.
"We are excited to partner with Polco to conduct this comprehensive citizen survey,” said Melissa Wissel, Communications Director. “We value the opinions and perspectives of our residents, and this survey will provide us with insights to how we are performing in the eyes of our residents, and to better understand what needs are, or aren’t being met. We hope all those who receive the survey directly will respond and we encourage our community members to participate when phase three kicks off."
Results of the survey will be presented to the City Commission on a date to be determined and shared with the community at that time.
