Each year, the St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra and the Beaches Visitor and Convention Bureau (VCB) recognizes outstanding employees in the county’s largest industry, tourism. Employee of the Year Awards are presented in five categories: accommodations, attractions, government, restaurant/bar, and retail.
This year, Paul Bartfalvi, Assistant Parking Lead, for the Historic Downtown Parking Facility (Parking Garage), was named recipient of the award in the government category, having been nominated by his supervisor.
Paul started his career at the Parking Garage in 2018.
In the nomination, Paul is described by his supervisor as informative and efficient, giving exceptional customer service. In addition, he is dedicated to keeping the parking garage in tip-top shape by cleaning and repairing the facility, as needed.
“As one of the ‘first faces’ visitors see upon entering St. Augustine, Paul wants to make sure travelers start off their adventure with a smile,” said Denise Medrano, Parking Garage Supervisor. “He enjoys knowing that he is part of the reason guests leave with a positive experience in the Nation’s Oldest City!”
