City’s mid-year budget analysis kicks-off budget review

Budget Meeting

Priorities include strategic planning and how future challenges affect FY21-22 budget


The St. Augustine City Commission will convene for a special budget meeting on Tuesday, May 11, from 8:30am until 12:00pm, in The Alcazar Room of City Hall, located at 75 King St.

The 2021-2022 fiscal year for the City of St. Augustine does not begin until October 1; however, this Strategic Planning and Mid-Year Budget Analysis meeting allows the Commission and staff to review an analysis of the Fiscal Year 2021 budget half-way through the year and to have a discussion of the city’s strategic plan and how it should be reflected in the Fiscal Year 2022 budget. 

The meeting will be streamed live on www.CityStAugTV.com and will be available on-demand on the website the following day.

Future budget meetings have been scheduled as follows:

  • 6/21/21       3:00 p.m.        Special Meeting - Discussion of 2022 Budget Assumptions (Revenues)
  • 7/12/21           5:00 p.m.        Regular Meeting - Adopt Resolution of proposed millage rate. Adopt other Budget-Related Resolutions.
  • 08/09/21         3:00 p.m.        Special Meeting - Discussion of 2022 Budget Assumptions and 5-Year CIP
  • 08/09/21         5:00 p.m.        Regular Meeting - Public Hearing on any Budget-Related Resolutions.
  • 8/19/21           9:00 a.m.         Special Meeting - Presentation of and discussion regarding FY 2022 tentative budget and action items.
  • 8/20/21           9:00 a.m.         Special Meeting - Discussion and approval of FY 2022 tentative budget and action items if necessary
  • 9/9/21         5:05 p.m.        Special Meeting - Initial public hearing for FY 2022 budget and tentative millage rate adoption.
  • 9/23/21       5:05 p.m.        Special Meeting - Final public hearing for FY 2022 budget and final millage rate adoption.
