Goals & Objectives
The City of St. Augustine's current Comprehensive Plan 2030 sets forth goals, objectives, and policies to guide physical development, while simultaneously protecting natural and cultural resources. The long-term planning function of the Planning and Building Department includes reviewing development proposals for compliance with the Comprehensive Plan.
Workshops
Over the course of 2019, there will be a series of Community Area Workshops to garner as much input as possible from the public regarding defining the City's future to 2040 and identifying solutions to planning issues moving forward. The same presentation (PPT) will be made at each Area Workshop.
Additionally, there are Workshops scheduled with the City's Citizen Boards including the Historic Architectural Review Board and the Planning and Zoning Board. These meetings are public hearings and will be more topical in nature related to specific Plan Elements and proposed changes to the existing Plan.
