CRA budget and City budget to be reviewed
Thursday, September 19, at 5:05pm, the City Commission will hold two budget-related meetings.
The commission, in its capacity as the Community Redevelopment Agency, will finalize the proposed 2020 budget for the CRA. Then, the commission will finalize the proposed budget for the city.
Both meetings will be in The Alcazar Room, City Hall, 75 King St. The meetings are open to the public and the agendas includes time for public comment. The meetings will also be streamed live and available for on-demand viewing the day following the meeting at www.CityStAugTV.com.
For the discussion of the city’s budget, commissioners will rely on two primary documents: the proposed budget itself and the city’s five year capital improvement plan.
Both of those documents are available by clicking in the links below:
The budget document is a wealth of information with easy to read charts illustrating the $60 million budget’s revenue sources and areas of planned expenditures. Of particular interest may be the summary list of highlights appearing on page 3 of the document.
The 2020 fiscal year begins on Tuesday, October 1.
