National week of recognition salutes “The Power of Public Works”

“The Power of Public Works” theme for the 2018 National Public Works Week illustrates the many facets of public works and its impact on how we live our daily lives. From providing clean water to disposing of solid waste, from maintaining our city streets to keeping our parks looking their best, public works’ services are critical to our everyday quality of life.

The City of St. Augustine and its Public Works Department encourages the public to celebrate the dedication and deep commitment of our Public Works employees, not just next week during National Public Works Week, but every day when you turn on a faucet, flush a toilet, drive down a street, or put your trash and recycling curbside for pick-up.

Snap a photo next week with your favorite Public Works workers when you see them around town and in your neighborhood and then share it on Instagram Instagram @citystaug with the hashtags #citystaug, #NPWW, and #PowerOfPublicWorks as a way to say “Thank You” for a job well done.
