Meetings will result in adoption of 17-18 city budget

     Meetings regarding the city's 2017-2018 budget had to be rescheduled due to Hurricane Irma. All meetings will be held in The Alcazar Room, City Hall, 75 King St. and will be available for viewing live and on-demand at

The City Commission, acting as the Community Redevelopment Agency, will consider resolutions related to the budgets of its two Community Redevelopment Areas (CRA), the Historic Area CRA and the Lincolnville CRA. Additionally, the Community Redevelopment Agency will vote on the Lincolnville CRA's Fix It Up Program and its Rehabilitation Program.

Immediately following that meeting, starting at 5:05pm, the City Commission will discuss and then adopt a tentative millage rate, adopt its budget on first reading following a public hearing on the matter, and then consider the Five-Year Capital Improvement Program. Other budget related items include setting the fire assessment fee and solid waste fees and rates.

The Commission will adopt the final millage rate and hold the final public hearing on the budget prior to its adoption.
