Public Affairs

Paul Williamson, Director of Public AffairsThe Department of Public Affairs assists organizations in their events when public property is utilized and manages the special events produced by the City of St. Augustine.  When public property is utilized for activities and events such as film productions, parades, festivals, or weddings, for example, a permit must be obtained through the Public Affairs office.

In addition, the department acts as the primary point of contact for the media with regards to city government activities, public information distribution, and all things relating to city matters that concern or involve it’s residents, visitors, business owners, and public officials.  The Public Affairs department is also responsible for maintaining the city web site and dissemination of information on social media.  Review the Events Venue Guidelines & Forms information.
